intro help

hi my question is pretty basic i guess but i think very important. music video intro's, what is the best way to get your name out there and into a music video your working on. i have adobe prem 1.5 but no real way to create a text and add music to it. ive studied afew music videos to see if i can pick out techniques but i'm at a loss for how you all do that, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
the different techniques that interest me are having your text move from one place to another and a gradual light that increases in the words sort of lighting it all up. also creating double layer images of the text offsetting the words from eachother maybe changing the transluscency of the text.
what programs do you all use?
what plugins?
techniques?

actually, there is a text tool in premiere lol.. right click on your library> import (if thats not it, than "new") > title ..... everything on this is transparent except for whatever you add to it... so just click the text tool and add your text.. X out of that window, itll ask you if oyu want to save, click YES ... than the title will appear in your library.. click and drag that into your timeline... and for the animations your trying to do, you have to keyframe certain effects.. the moving text would be in motion keyframed, and having a light in it would be lens flare keyframed.. hope that helps.. good luck
